Reference

Permissions

CustomPlayerNametags uses one permission for admin access, plus smaller nodes for the player menu, notifications, and character limits.

Admin and player

NodeDefaultGrants
customplayernametags.adminopAccess to all /nametags subcommands.
customplayernametags.nametageveryoneAccess to the /nametag menu.

Notifications

NodeDefaultGrants
customplayernametags.updatenotifyopReceive a message on join when a plugin update is available.
customplayernametags.multiversenotifyopReceive the Multiverse passenger-mode warning and its clickable fix.
customplayernametags.notify.override.notifyfalseWhen this player changes a player's format, it always notifies that player in chat, regardless of the configured notify mode.
customplayernametags.notify.override.silentfalseWhen this player changes a player's format, it never notifies that player in chat. Takes priority over .notify if a player has both.

Character limits

These control nametag-line-max-characters for the player whose nametag is being shown.

NodeDefaultGrants
customplayernametags.bypasslinecharacterlimitfalseNo character limit at all.
customplayernametags.bypasslinecharacterlimit.<N>falseA limit of <N> characters per line, which can be higher or lower than the configured value. If several are granted, the highest <N> is used.
Wildcards

customplayernametags.bypasslinecharacterlimit and both customplayernametags.notify.override.* nodes are not granted by a wildcard such as * or customplayernametags.*. They only apply when the exact node is granted to the player or one of their groups, so admins with a wildcard are still limited and still notified unless you deliberately say otherwise.
